Our Story
Copper Wings Press is dedicated to literature and art that falls between the cracks, to genres that defy description. We highlight creativity that pushes outside established boxes.
We encourage written work that isn’t quite prose, but also not poetry; that isn’t gothic enough for literary fiction but not saccharine (or sensational) enough for the mass market. Our visual art reflects the same.
We are not interested in transgressive post-modern stories, because we believe communities are shaped by the stories they tell themselves. Therefore, our art and our literature rejects the false notion that positive anticipation reflects a shallow perspective; rather, we believe depth is expressed in hope.
